The Chicago Symphony Orchestra presents Lucas and Arthur Jussen on Sunday, January 21, 2024. These Dutch brothers are famous for their unmatched piano performances, playing and moving alongside one another in unparalleled unison.

These young brothers have been praised around the world, performing with the Boston Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestras, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and Montréal, Sydney, Singapore and Shanghai symphony orchestras.

The brothers debuted their talent in 2022 at the Tanglewood Festival and have since been one of the most sought-after piano duos. Their most recent CD release was “Dutch Masters” in April 2022, an album devoted to works by numerous Dutch composers.

CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA DEBUT

Starting at 3:00 at the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, the Jussen brothers will open with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, K. 448. Following, the pianists will move into Franz Schubert’s Fantasy in F Minor, D. 940. Next on the program, Lucas and Arthur Jussen will play Hanna Kulenty’s VAN… and close with a two-piano version of The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinky.
