Calling all Golden Girls fanatics: The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk is hosting another Golden-Con: Thank You for Being a Fan! From March 31st to April 2nd, Chicago will be celebrating the return of this beloved event with an array of weekend-long escapades! Organizers (and lifelong Golden Girls fans) Zack Hudson and brothers Brendan and Brad Balof have come back to appease the multigenerational fans who wholeheartedly supported their event in 2022. There will be no better way to slip back into your sit-com obsession than here!
What To Expect
Fantastical live performances, liberating dance parties, expert discussions, cast interviews, master trivia, vendor markets, and more will ensue throughout these golden days at the Riverwalk. Panel discussions with the show’s writers and producers will take place, with open conversation on the makings of the pivotal series as well as its spin-offs! Reminisce with like-minded, fervent fans for one day, or all three! Regardless of your schedule choice, there will be both new and repeated events every day, so everyone will be satisfied!
Aside from these activities, there will also be deliciously themed cocktails available at the CHI Bar inside the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, with every purchased drink donating a dollar to Center on Halsted. These drinks have been concocted and comically named, “Rose’s Rose Margarita,” “Dorothy’s Mule,” “Blache’s Berry White Wine Spritzer,” and “Sophie’s Whiskey Sour.” All creations were inspired by iconic quotes from the show; made by the fans, for the fans!
