Excision’s Apex Tour at Navy Pier: Robots, Dinosaurs, and Robot Dinosaurs

Share

Booming thuds and roars fill the mist around the Pier; something wicked this way comes. Excision has returned to Chicago as a part of his new tour, Apex.

Jeff Abel, better know as Excision, is a producer and DJ, who is best known for his heavy electronic music and exceptional concert venues. His music consists of dubstep, drum and bass, and breakbeat in a dark and metallic fashion. Always on the move, Jeff performs dozens of concerts each year. The settings of Excision’s concerts are a mixture of prehistoric lands and complex machinery; it’s not unlikely to see hulking beasts, war machines, and hybrids of the two at these venues. He also founded the record label Destroid Music and the Lost Lands Music Festival, which is a prehistoric-themed festival focused on the bass music community.

As a part of Apex tour, Excision will be at Navy Pier for the last show of the month on March 30th.  This show will feature music listed here as well as a stunning display of special effects and pyrotechnics. With an artist like this it’s hard to tell what can come out of their sleeves. Who knows what else this show has in stock?

So if you hear roars and feel earthquakes coming from the lakeside you’ll know that it isn’t the end of the world, it’s just one of the craziest parties of the year. Don’t miss out on this event! Tickets are going fast, so you better reserve yours soon.

Apex: where the sets are sick and the drops are even sicker.
