Chicago is gearing up for this summer’s NASCAR weekend with a watch party that will have you ready to rumble.
In celebration of the 65th annual DAYTONA 500, The Sports Corner Bar & Grill at 956 W. Addison St. is hosting a watch party on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. At the event, hosted in partnership with WLS 890 AM, WLS 94.7 FM and Q101, prizes, games and food will be provided. Prizes include merchandise and tickets to the big race this summer.
Chicago Nascar Weekend
The Chicago Street Race celebrates NASCAR’s 75th anniversary season and Chicago’s first street race. It’s a two day event from July 1-2 starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. General admission tickets start at $269 and reserved tickets, which include reserved seating and premium experiences, begin at $465.
The street race will take place on a 12-turn, 2.2-mile street course that passes through the iconic landmarks of Chicago. The race will begin and end near the Buckingham Fountain and compete on Michigan Avenue, South Columbus Drive and South Lake Shore Drive.
Music Festival
On top of the thrilling race, The Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will combine to host a sports and entertainment festival. The concert will take place over the Fourth of July Weekend with Miranda Lambert, The Chainsmokers, Charley Crockett and The Black Crowes to headline.
The festival will celebrate NASCAR’s 75-year history of being the number one form of motorsports in the United States. Experience their impressive reign of motorsports entertainment and feel the rush of a live race this summer.
