Wind, water, and history are set to converge at PEPSI® Tall Ships® Chicago July 27-31 as part of Navy Pier’s Fifth Third Bank Centennial Celebration. One of Navy Pier’s most recognized events, Tall Ships will feature a majestic fleet of 13+ international vessels.
This year’s ship lineup features historical vessels from around the world, including the world’s largest Viking ship, Draken Harald Hårfagre (Norway), El Galeón Andalucía (Spain), a one-of-a-kind replica used by the Spanish Crown for maritime expeditions in the 16th Century, as well as Appledore IV (USA), Fred A. Busse Fireboat (USA), Friends Good Will (USA), Madeline (USA), Niagara (USA), Playfair (Canada), Pride of Baltimore II (USA), Red Witch (USA), When and If (USA), Windy (USA), and Mist of Avalon (Canada).
The five-day festival kicks off at Navy Pier with a spectacular Parade of Sail on Wednesday, July 27. Then, starting Thursday, July 28, ticketed guests will have the opportunity to view, tour, and even sail away on participating vessels.
