Chicago is full of spots that aren't always on the map. They're often tucked into an alley, or have made the decision to leave the business sign-less in a make-them-seek-it-out-and-they-will-come strain of thinking. Restaurants and bars dominate the category (hence, The Hideout), but keep an eye out for mom-and-pop bookstores and music shops, too.
